Math Workshop
We use the ENVISIONS math program. Students will learn topics such as geometry, measurement, fractions, long multiplication and division, decimals, and probability.
During the math workshop, students are grouped based on their needs in a particular topic. They rotate through 3 stations. One station works directly with the teacher on the skills necessary for the lesson. One group plays a math game to reinforce the skills for the lesson, and one group works independently on an assigned set of problems for practice. Each child, therefore, has the opportunity to work in a small group with the teacher on his/her specific needs.
